Rock
City is a 5 acre park which basically consists of a
concentration of car to house sized boulders in a grass field. A
small gift shop is operated at the park . Visitors are invited to walk
among the rocks and kids are free to climb on the rocks and skin their knees if
they wish.

Rock
City is located on a ridge overlooking the Solomon River valley
and is a very scenic area. The boulders were formed of Dakota Sandstone by
a process known as concretion. This occurred millions of years ago while
Kansas was covered by an inland sea. What makes this small area so unique
is the size of rocks and their number.
