Constructed
in 1899 for a sum of $220, this scenic stone arch bridge was once
on the main road from Clyde to Concordia. Heavy flooding in 1904 and
again in 1950 caused considerable damage to the bridge. The main
road (Hwy K-9) was moved to its' present location 1/4 mile south in 1920.
The last vehicle to cross the stone bridge did so in 1950.

Restoration
of the bridge started in 1990, and was completed in 1991 with
over 300 hours of labor going into the task . This is a beautiful old
bridge in a scenic location, just north of the ghost town of Rice and only a
short distance from Hwy K-9.
